Job summary

Pertemps Heathrow is seeking a Summer Operations Assistant in Wembley to support Accommodation, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams. The role runs for approximately one month with a 9:30am–6:00pm schedule, Monday to Friday, plus weekend work on specific late-August/early-September dates.

You will inspect rooms, manage inventory, and assist with preparations for new arrivals, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. A clean DBS is required or obtainable, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Clean DBS within the last 3–6 months or willing to obtain one.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high standards.
• Organised and able to manage workload effectively.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of bedrooms and communal areas after housekeeping to ensure standards.
• Check room inventory against the checklist and replace missing/damaged items, updating spreadsheets.
• Record stock intake, monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies.
• Identify maintenance issues and report them to Maintenance promptly.
• Prepare rooms for new student arrivals within deadlines.
• Follow health and safety procedures during daily duties.
• Maintain records of room checks, stock movements and maintenance reports.
• Support the wider Operations team with additional tasks during the summer period.

Contract:Approximately 1 month

Salary: £13.50-£14.00 DOE

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday- 9:30am - 6:00pm - Can potentially be flexible on hours.

30-minute unpaid lunch break

Weekend work requirement on 29thand 30thAugust and 5thand 6thSeptember 2026.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Accommodation, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to help deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of bedrooms and communal areas after the housekeeping team have been in to ensure accommodation meets the required standards.
• Check room inventory against the inventory checklist and replace any missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Following this up by updating spread sheets.
• Record stock intake, monitor inventory levels, and assist with organising and replenishing supplies.
• Identify any maintenance issues such as damaged furniture, faulty fixtures, lighting, plumbing, or general wear and tear, and report them promptly to the Maintenance team.
• Working to agreed deadlines to prepare rooms for new student arrivals.
• Following health and safety procedures while carrying out daily duties.
• Maintain accurate records of completed room checks, stock movements, and maintenance reports.
• Support the wider Operations team with additional tasks as required during the summer period.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a up to date clean DBS within the last 3-6 months or willing to obtain one.
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
• Is organised and able to manage their workload effectively.
• Can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Has good communication skills.
• Is reliable and punctual
• Is physically capable of carrying out room inspections and handling light stock items.
• Is comfortable using checklists and recording information accurately.
• Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, customer service, or student accommodation is beneficial but not essential.
