Job summary

Places for People is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for the summer at University of York. You will work on a large site, delivering planned and reactive maintenance to a high standard while minimising disruption to occupants.

Working hours are 8am–5pm, five days a week, with an on-call rota outside hours. A basic DBS check is required; we offer training and development and a supportive community that cares.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable though not essential.
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service to those around you.
• You will be compliant with Health and Safety and manage tasks end to end.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance to a large site.
• Manage workload effectively, working as part of a team or individually.
• Be on an on-call rota outside working hours.
