Job summary

PfP Students is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to cover the summer period on a large site at University of York, YO10 5GE. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, either as part of a team or on your own, and manage your workload to minimise occupant disruption while keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront.

DBS check is mandatory for this position. The role is on site 8am–5pm with an hour unpaid lunch, five days a week, and includes an on-call rota outside working hours.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Health and Safety compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

More about your role

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Assistants to cover the summer period. You will be working on a large site and expected to carry out summer maintenance to a high standard. Working either as part of team or individually, you will be expected to manage your workload effectively. You'll deliver planned and reactive maintenance, working to ensure the site is maintained, while ensuring minimal inconvenience to the occupants and keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront of your mind

This role is based on site 5 days a week at University of York, York, YO10 5GE with working hours of 8am – 5pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. You will also be on an on call rota outside of working hours.

More about you

Experience in a similar role is desired though not essential. You will possess a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to those around you. You will be compliant with Health and Safety and manage tasks end to end.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in a similar role (construction or maintenance)
• Customer Service experience
• Excellent communication skills.
