Job summary

Arup is hosting a 6-12 week Summer Intern position in Civil Engineering – Water based in Belfast. You will support the Energy, Water & Resources team on clean water, wastewater, and related projects, contributing to drainage design and flood risk assessments.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (Bachelors/Masters) with strong Microsoft Office skills; AutoCAD and GIS experience are advantageous for the role.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with AutoCAD and GIS would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the team across a wide range of tasks.
• Assist with project management activities including contract administration, costing, cost reviews and project registers.
• Contribute to civil engineering design, including drainage design and multi-discipline coordination.
• Carry out technical studies and assessments including flood risk assessments.
• Use and develop digital tools and specialist civil design software.
• Help organise and attend team events.
