Job summary

Houlihan Lokey, Inc. is seeking Summer Financial Analysts to join the Financial Restructuring Group in London. You will work on creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A, gaining exposure to advisory services across multiple industries.

We welcome penultimate-year students with strong academics and prior IB internship experience. You will collaborate with senior bankers on complex negotiations and financial analyses in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of study; final assessments in Spring or Summer 2028.
• Strong academic record and top performer traits.
• Interest in restructuring and related fields.
• Prior IB internship in M&A, leverage finance, or restructuring desirable.
• Thorough understanding of valuation theories and methods.
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A.
• Support debt and equity financings and advisory services.
• Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Work within deal teams comprising MDs, VPs, Associates and Analysts.
