Job summary

Houlihan Lokey UK Limited is seeking a Summer Financial Analyst to join the Financial Restructuring Group. You will assist on creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, distressed M&A, and capital-raising efforts while gaining exposure to a broad range of advisory products.

We welcome penultimate-year students with a strong academic track record and a demonstrated interest in restructuring. Prior IB internship is valuable, and the role emphasizes quantitative, analytical skills and English

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of study at a highly regarded university, graduating Spring/Summer 2028.
• Strong academic track record; top academic performer.
• Interest in restructuring; prior IB internship is desirable but not essential.
• Thorough understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications.
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
• Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• An exceptional strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A.
• Work on projects exposing to various financial advisory products.
• Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Raising debt and equity financings.
• Provide distressed M&A advisory services.
• Engage in out-of-court and in-court restructurings.
