A mental health service provider in the UK is looking for a Suicide Prevention Lead to coordinate its suicide prevention strategy across various levels. The position requires strong stakeholder engagement and experience in mental health services. The Suicide Prevention Lead is a Trust-wide role which co-ordinates and leads Greater Manchester Mental Health's approaches to suicide prevention, at both strategic and clinical levels. A key part of this role is to be responsible for the implementation of the Trust's Suicide prevention strategy and promoting this initiative, reporting to the Medical Director. The role will act as an ambassador for the Trust to connect with multiple stakeholders in a variety of clinical and corporate settings to support the development of a strategic approach to suicide prevention that encompasses and supports the organisation in a whole system approach. As an ambassador for the Trust, the role will be well connected both locally and nationally to contribute to and learn from research and developments in these areas.
All positions within the Trust are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The Trust mandates enrolment in the DBS Update Service for roles requiring a DBS, at an annual fee of £16, to be maintained throughout employment.
