Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an Engineering Bid Project Manager to lead the pre-award phase for complex substation upgrade projects across the UK. The role centers on bidding activities, coordinating inputs across engineering, sales, finance and legal, and negotiating with clients.

You will drive scope definition with engineering teams, manage budgets and pricing strategies, and act as the main point of contact for bid activities while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, PM or related field.
• Experience in project management within engineering, energy, or utilities.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing complex bids and tenders for technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid process from opportunity assessment to client negotiation.
• Develop bid schedules and coordinate inputs from engineering, sales, finance and legal teams.
• Collaborate with engineering to define project scope and develop technical and commercial solutions.
• Manage bid budgets, cost estimation and pricing strategies with the commercial team.
• Act as primary contact for bid activities, communicating and mitigating risks.
