Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to lead on a live substation project in Durham. You will oversee civil and electrical works, manage RAMS and permits, and coordinate subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and progress on site.

The role requires HV safety knowledge, CSCS Supervisor status or equivalent, and SSSTS/SMSTS certification, with a strong track record in civils within energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising substation or similar infrastructure projects.
• Proven knowledge of HV safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/electrical drawings.
• Experience with RAMS and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations on a live substation project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards on HV sites.
• Oversee civil works (foundations, ducting, drainage) and electrical installation activities.
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks and RAMS.
• Monitor and report project progress and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure works follow drawings and specifications and liaise with project managers and client reps.
• Maintain site records including diaries, inspections and permits.
