Job summary

Green Recruitment Company is seeking Substation Site Supervisors for contract roles on high voltage substation construction projects across the UK. You will supervise work gangs and subcontractors, ensuring safe delivery on the programme and to technical specifications.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the role suits candidates with hands-on HV substation, cabling or electrical installation background, with a strong focus on safety, quality and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience on substation, HV or electrical infrastructure projects
• SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work
• Sound understanding of safe systems of work and permit procedures
• Ability to read and interpret construction and electrical drawings
• Trade background in electrical, mechanical or civils is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities, work gangs and subcontractors
• Deliver toolbox talks, point-of-work risk assessments and daily briefings
• Monitor works against method statements, drawings and technical specifications
• Maintain site records, daily diaries and progress returns
• Support quality inspections, ITPs and snagging
• Escalate safety, quality and programme issues to the Site Manager

Job description
