Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a substation project in Dorset with an immediate start and long-term opportunities. The role covers civil engineering and electrical installation works within substations or similar infrastructure, with potential involvement across a wider pipeline of work over up to 10 years.

Ideal candidates will have strong site management skills, HSE focus, and experience coordinating subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction, civils or energy sectors.
• SSE CAT 1-3 certifications preferred but not essential.
• Substation experience is highly advantageous.
• Experience coordinating contractors and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site personnel and project resources.
• Oversee civil engineering and electrical installation activities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, RAMS and project specs.
• Monitor progress against programme and resolve site issues.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Liaise with Project Manager, engineers and client representatives.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
