Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking a Substance Misuse Practitioner with a degree or equivalent health-related experience to join our multidisciplinary team.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate interventions for people with complex needs, discuss treatment plans with service users and collaborate with the SMS and Health teams to improve outcomes. Welsh language skills are desirable and welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma level or equivalent experience in a relevant health related field or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Substance Misuse Practitioner role
• Awareness of wider healthcare issues and delivery of substance misuse care

Essential criteria

• Diploma level or equivalent experience in a relevant health related field or equivalent experience

• Awareness of wider healthcare issues and delivery of substance misuse care

Experience

Essential criteria

• Significant experience working within a relevant clinical service as a senior HCSW or equivalent
• Experience of delivering groups and/or presentations

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working in a forensic/custodial setting
