Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple engineering and product development initiatives in its Ulverston facility. You will drive delivery from requirements through to handover, coordinating engineers, testers, procurement and external customers to meet time, cost and quality targets.

The role requires experience managing several smaller-to-medium projects, typically 3–6 per year with a combined value around £1m.

Qualifications

• Proven Project Management experience within engineering, manufacturing or technical environments.
• Experience managing product development, engineering development or manufacturing projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, risk management and project controls.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with ownership of cost, schedule, quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineering and product development projects from inception through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, testing, manufacturing and procurement.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans and cost estimates.
• Monitor project performance ensuring delivery against timescales, budgets, quality and scope.
• Identify and mitigate technical, commercial and project delivery risks.
• Manage project variations, change orders and contractual requirements.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support bid proposals, customer meetings and project presentations.
• Manage project financial reporting, cost control and commercial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across project management and product development processes.
