Job summary

Orion Group, on behalf of a global energy services company, is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join their team in Scotland. You will support procurement of materials, equipment and services for subsea engineering and fabrication activities.

The role involves raising requisitions and orders, evaluating supplier quotes, expediting deliveries, and maintaining procurement records. You will work closely with the Buyer, operations teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with

Qualifications

Experience in an administrative, purchasing, procurement or supply chain environment.
Good understanding of purchasing processes and supplier engagement.
Experience using ERP or procurement systems.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately.

Responsibilities

Assist with procurement of materials, consumables, equipment and services.
Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with procedures.
Support Buyer in obtaining supplier quotations and evaluations.
Monitor PO progress and expedite deliveries to meet requirements.
Interface with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and order status updates.
Maintain procurement trackers and reporting tools.
Support inventory management and procurement planning.
Assist with management of call-offs against framework agreements and contracts.
Communicate with warehouse and operations staff to ensure proper receipt and records.
