Orion Group is seeking a Commercial Lead to support major subsea engineering and fabrication activities. The role focuses on contract administration, variation management and tender support to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.

The successful candidate will work closely with project and operational teams to maintain contractual records, deliver commercial reports and drive value through effective cost management and risk mitigation.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline.
• Professional experience within commercial, contracts or quantity surveying functions.
• Experience in construction, fabrication, offshore or engineering environments.

Aufgaben

• Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in accordance with company procedures, policies and governance requirements.
• Provide day-to-day commercial support to site operations and project teams.
• Administer client contracts and maintain contractual records in accordance with company procedures.
• Develop, prepare, submit and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs), change requests and contractual claims.
• Review client instructions and identify contractual entitlement for additional costs, schedule impacts or scope changes.
• Maintain variation, compensation event and change management registers.
• Support the preparation, review and approval of tender submissions, commercial evaluations and cost estimates.
• Interface with UK Commercial and Procurement teams during tendering and project execution phases.
• Prepare and administer subcontract, supplier and vendor call-offs.
• Review supplier quotations and provide commercial recommendations for award.
• Assist with cost forecasting, budget monitoring and monthly commercial reporting.
• Support project managers in identifying, managing and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities.
• Maintain commercial documentation, correspondence and audit records.
• Participate in project reviews and provide commercial input to management reporting processes.
• Develop and implement commercial tools, trackers and reporting mechanisms to improve facility efficiency and financial performance.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution through proactive contract administration and relationship management.
