Job summary

Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Sub Contract Planner for our Appleton site to coordinate subcontracted transport services and maintain high service levels in a fast-paced operation.

The role requires experience in planning and knowledge of the logistics sector, with familiarity in GTS and strong IT skills across Microsoft 365 tools. Monday to Friday shifts are standard. Competitive benefits accompany the salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of the Logistics and Transport industry.
• Knowledge of GTS is desirable.
• Demonstrable planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator with strong Microsoft systems knowledge.
• IT literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate set lanes to hauliers.
• Rate jobs on GTS and ensure haulier costs are correct.
• Advertise work on TWS system.
• Arrange live loads for hauliers.
• Complete jobs on GTS to allow for Stobart invoicing.
• Implement subcontract strategy based on forecasted volumes.
• Manage haulier issues and communicate these to Stobart departments such as CS, central and planning.
• Update hauliers documents to ensure 100% legal compliance.
• Report POD discrepancies and returns that may arise to reduce the company’s liability of losses.
• Take on additional work from 3rd party hauliers to reduce empty running on Stobart Fleet.
• Support Central Team as required.
