Job summary

Balfour Beatty Highways in Penrith, Cumbria, is recruiting a Sub Agent to support the A66 NTP Scheme. Based on-site in Penrith, you will lead delivery teams and ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently and to high standards.

You will implement safe systems of work, review risk assessments, and mentor subordinates while maintaining production programmes and managing site costs. CSCS and SMSTS qualifications are essential, with a strong focus on Zero Harm.

Qualifications

• Clear ability to communicate the requirements of a safe system of work and ensure adherence.
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and guiding a team to deliver results.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours/nights as required by project needs.
• Holds a current driving licence and CSCS Card; SSSTS or SMSTS qualified.
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Demonstrates a solution‑orientated approach to issue resolution.
