Job summary

Anglian Recruitment is hiring a Sub Agent for a major substation project in Necton, Norfolk. This 8-month contract suits a civils/energy professional with substations or major infrastructure experience.

You will support the Site Agent, coordinate site activities and subcontractors, oversee civil works and ensure safe, on-time delivery while maintaining essential site records and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Substation, power, utilities or major infrastructure experience
• Strong understanding of civil engineering site operations
• Excellent health & safety knowledge

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Agent and project management team to deliver the project
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities and manage site teams and subcontractors
• Oversee civil engineering works within the substation environment
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements
• Monitor site progress and report to the project team
• Liaise with subcontractors, engineers, clients and stakeholders

Sub Agent - Substation Project

Location: Necton, Norfolk

Duration: 8 Months

Rate: £400-£450 per day plus package

Hours: Full-time

Anglian Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major substation project in Necton, Norfolk.

This is an 8-month contract opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in civils and energy projects. Previous experience working within substations, power, utilities or associated infrastructure is required.

The Role:

• Supporting the Site Agent and wider project management team with the delivery of the project
• Managing day-to-day site activities and coordinating site teams and subcontractors
• Overseeing civil engineering works within the substation environment
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements
• Monitoring site progress and reporting back to the project team
• Liaising with subcontractors, engineers, clients and other stakeholders
• Ensuring site documentation, permits and records are maintained
• Supporting quality assurance and inspection processes
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site
• Assisting with planning, sequencing and coordination of works

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent or in a similar civil engineering role

• Previous substation, power, utilities or major infrastructure experience
• Strong understanding of civil engineering site operations
• Excellent health & safety knowledge
• Good communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Relevant construction qualifications and site tickets
