Qualifications

• Proven experience as Civils Site Manager or Sub Agent within civil engineering.
• Experience managing civils packages on substation or major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of groundworks, earthworks, drainage, foundations and concrete works.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Understanding of health and safety, RAMS and project programmes.
• National Grid or high-voltage substation experience advantageous.
• Site management qualifications and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of a civils package across multiple substation projects.
• Manage day-to-day site operations safely and in line with the project programme.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site managers, supervisors and groundworks teams.
• Manage civils activities including earthworks, drainage, foundations, concrete works and ducting.
• Monitor progress, productivity, resources and programme milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, RAMS, permits and quality requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate civils activities with mechanical and electrical installation teams.
• Manage site documentation, quality records and progress reporting.
• Identify and resolve site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to programme delivery.

Civils Site Manager / Sub Agent - Substation Projects

Location: Norfolk

Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension

We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager / Sub Agent to oversee a civils package across various substation projects in Norfolk on an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for extension.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure, with proven experience managing civils packages on substation or similar major infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Candidates with previous experience working on National Grid or other high-voltage substation projects will be highly advantageous.

• Relevant site management qualifications and safety certifications.
