The Study Support Service Manager will assume a key leadership position in the Regional RDN (RRDN) Study Support Service, which will be seamlessly integrated within the collective national Study Support Service, serving as the cornerstone of the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN). This role involves facilitating effective study delivery across the system while enhancing strategic capacity and capability.

The role involves delivering critical services across a defined portfolio of specialties and settings, including pre-approval services like Planning and Placement Service/national tools, and post-approval services such as portfolio oversight. The post-holder will develop a strong knowledge base within the portfolio area, establishing communities of practice with relevant study and site teams, facilitating best practice exchange to optimize study performance. Collaboration with Regional Specialty and Setting Leads and engagement in regional and national improvement projects will be essential, supporting continuous improvement across the network.
The team offers a positive, developmental environment and is involved in innovative healthcare research. The role is based in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, or Taunton, with regular travel to local and regional offices. The working pattern is 37.5 hours per week. The interview date is to be confirmed.
