Abingdon and Witney College in Witney is seeking an experienced Study Programme Lead in Electrical Installation to join our Construction team. You will lead curriculum development and deliver high-quality teaching across programmes.
The role blends leadership with classroom delivery, supporting learners toward progression into apprenticeships, employment, or further study, and you will work with industry partners to ensure relevant, up-to-date learning.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Study Programme Lead in Electrical Installation to join our Construction team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electrical professional and educator to take a leading role in shaping and delivering high-quality Electrical Installation programmes. The role offers a unique blend of curriculum leadership and classroom teaching, with responsibilities split between developing exceptional learning programmes outside the classroom and delivering engaging teaching within the classroom. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring learners achieve their full potential and progress successfully into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
As a Study Programme Lead, you will take ownership of the planning, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of Electrical Installation programmes while managing and supporting the academic progress of your students throughout their learning journey. This purpose is a core requirement of the role.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
