Job summary

The Manchester College, part of LTE Group, is hiring a Pastoral Support Officer at our Manchester campus. You will provide emotional, behavioural and safeguarding support to learners, working closely with teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week, term-time) is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Qualified to at least level 3 in Education, Social Care, Mentoring, Youth Work, Counselling or Advice & Guidance.
• Evidence of effective ICT use including ProMonitor, EBS Reports and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, behavioural and safeguarding support to learners.
• Work with teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning.
