Job summary

North Kent Colleges Group is inviting applications for five Pastoral Support Coach roles across its four colleges. You will provide pastoral support, guidance and early intervention to help students overcome barriers and stay engaged with their studies.

Working closely with curriculum teams, Welfare & Safeguarding, Learning Support, parents and external agencies, you’ll identify attendance and engagement barriers and develop proactive strategies to support positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pastoral support, mentoring, youth work, welfare or education background is advantageous.
• Ability to identify and address barriers to attendance, engagement and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support, guidance and early intervention to help students overcome barriers and stay engaged with their studies.
• Build positive relationships with students and work with curriculum teams, Welfare & Safeguarding, Learning Support, parents, carers and external agencies.
• Identify and address barriers to attendance and engagement; develop strategies to support positive outcomes.
