Are you passionate about student wellbeing and looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience to drive positive change at Lancaster University?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Widening Participation and Early Intervention Service as a Student Wellbeing Adviser. This service works in partnership with our colleges and academic departments to enable us to provide holistic wellbeing support to students. You will provide high-quality wellbeing and/or mental health support to students through proactive and preventative interventions and campaigns, group sessions and events, and student one-to-one sessions. Our aim is to help students have positive experiences, feel included and valued, and ensure an integrated and consistent approach to wellbeing support across all university departments and colleges through delivery of a business partner model. The Student Wellbeing Partnership Service are responsible for facilitating the identification and support of students who may require short-term additional support at university, many of whom will be from non-traditional backgrounds or may have enhanced needs, to help ensure maximum student success.

Our team of Student Wellbeing Advisers are formed of a blend of roles with different skills and expertise. No prior qualifications are required, but we would like all team members to be prepared to undertake training for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) qualification or equivalent; this would be funded by the University.
