Job summary

Lancaster University is recruiting a Student Wellbeing Adviser (1.0 FTE, fixed term to 30 April 2027) within Student Wellbeing Services. You will provide high-quality wellbeing and/or mental health support to students through proactive and preventative interventions and campaigns, group sessions and one-to-one sessions.

The role supports a business partner model to ensure integrated wellbeing across colleges and departments, with training funded for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

Qualifications

• No prior qualifications are required, but training for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) qualification or equivalent may be funded by the University.
• We would also welcome applications from those that feel they already hold appropriate qualifications.

Responsibilities

• You will provide high-quality wellbeing and/or mental health support to students through proactive and preventative interventions and campaigns, group sessions and events, and student one-to-one sessions.
• Our aim is to help students have positive experiences, feel included and valued, and ensure an integrated and consistent approach to wellbeing support across all university departments and colleges through delivery of a business partner model.
• The Student Wellbeing Partnership Service is responsible for facilitating the identification and support of students who may require short-term additional support at university, many of whom will be from non-traditional backgrounds or may have enhanced needs, to help ensure maximum student success.
