Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Secondary School Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This full-time long-term opportunity focuses on supporting students with learning, social and emotional needs.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help students overcome barriers to learning, and collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in support work, mental health, SEN/SEND, behaviour support, youth work or care.
• Patient, resilient and confident supporting young people with a range of needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged students.
• Support students with additional learning, social and emotional needs.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Support students who may struggle with behaviour, confidence or emotional regulation.
• Build positive relationships with young people and encourage independence.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams.
