Tradewind Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Worksop. You will work with teaching staff to support pupils and create an inclusive learning environment, helping students access the curriculum and build confidence.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, teamwork, and adapting support to a range of abilities, ensuring pupils progress and stay engaged in learning.

Qualifications

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have experience with children or young people in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with pupils.
Good organisational skills and ability to work well in a team.
Confidence to support students with a range of needs and abilities.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
Ability to follow school policies and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who require additional assistance.
Support pupils with their learning and help them access the curriculum.
Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes toward learning.
Provide additional support to pupils who have SEND or other barriers to learning.
Assist with classroom activities and preparation of learning resources.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
