Job summary

Kingston College is seeking a part-time Student Support Adviser to help learners overcome barriers, safeguard wellbeing and engage fully in college life. You’ll work 18 hours a week over 2.5 days (Wed AM/PM, Thu, Fri) and manage a caseload of learners, offering information, advice and targeted support.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues and external organisations, providing signposting and developing safety plans to re-engage disengaged students while supporting workshops, interviews, and risk

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working with vulnerable young people.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and understanding of related legislation.
• Experience of supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, advice and signposting through the Student Services Centre.
• Manage a caseload of learners, including those at risk, and develop support plans.
• Deliver workshops, interviews and reviews to support student wellbeing and progression.
