Job summary

Kingston College is inviting applications for a part-time Student Support Adviser. The role is campus-based on a fixed-term contract for 12 months (30 November 2026–30 November 2027), working 18 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

You will support learners in overcoming barriers, delivering information, advice and personalised guidance while safeguarding wellbeing and promoting engagement in college life.

Qualifications

• Experience providing information, advice and guidance to learners.
• Ability to build rapport with students, colleagues and external agencies.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with college systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of learners, including those at risk, and develop safety plans.
• Provide information, advice and signposting through Student Services Centre.
• Deliver workshops/tutorials and conduct interviews and reviews.
• Produce risk assessments and tailored support plans.
