Job summary

Hadley Learning Community - Secondary Phase is seeking a dedicated pastoral support professional to promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and wellbeing. The role involves mentoring students, managing behaviour incidents and supporting safeguarding processes to ensure every student can succeed.

The post-holder will be a visible presence around the school, building positive relationships with students and working with families to improve outcomes and engagement with school

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices would be advantageous.

Job description

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, staff and external agencies to promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and wellbeing. The role will involve providing pastoral support, mentoring students, managing behaviour incidents, supporting safeguarding processes and helping to create an environment in which all students can succeed.

You will be a visible presence around school, building positive relationships with students whilst maintaining high expectations. The postholder will support students experiencing difficulties, work alongside parents and carers to improve outcomes, and help ensure that all students engage positively with school life.

The role requires excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to remain calm and effective when dealing with challenging situations. Experience of working with young people and a strong understanding of behaviour management, attendance and safeguarding practices would be advantageous.
