We are seeking a committed, resilient and highly motivated Behaviour Support Officer to join our pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and making a visible difference to school culture.

As a Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment. You will work closely with students, staff and families to reinforce expectations, promote positive behaviour and support students in making successful choices.

This is a highly visible role within the school. You will be present throughout the school day, supporting behaviour for learning, monitoring standards, conducting restorative conversations and helping students to reflect on their actions and repair relationships if things go wrong.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with young people. Builds positive and professional relationships with students and staff. Has high expectations of behaviour, conduct and standards. Can remain calm and confident when managing challenging situations. Is committed to restorative and relational approaches. Is an excellent communicator who works well as part of a team. Shares our belief that every student can achieve and succeed.

In return, we offer:

A welcoming and supportive staff team. A strong commitment to professional development. The opportunity to make a genuine difference to students' lives. A rewarding role at the heart of our pastoral provision. Access to employee wellbeing support and benefits. This role would suit candidates with experience in education, youth work, pastoral support, safeguarding, behaviour support, community work, coaching, the police, military services or other professions involving work with young people. We are keen to find someone who shares in our core values and believes in the importance of building positive relationships with young people.

If you are passionate about supporting students, promoting high standards and helping every young person achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.

Safeguarding: The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, and all other safer recruitment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
