Job summary

Thomas Middlecott Academy are recruiting for an Alternative Provision Mentor. The role focuses on targeted support for identified at-risk pupils to improve behaviour, wellbeing and engagement within a coordinated school framework.

The post is permanent, 37 hours per week across 39 term-time weeks, offering professional development within a Trust environment and opportunities to collaborate with schools and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young adults in education with strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional qualification relevant to the post (social work, teaching, mentoring, youth work).
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Target/support as part of a coordinated response for identified at risk pupils.
• Work with school and agencies to address barriers to learning and wellbeing.
• Support social, emotional, mental health needs and attendance.
