Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Student Support Assistant to work with learners aged 11-18 with complex needs in a SEND setting. You will collaborate with qualified teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, tailored learning experiences.

You will provide individual and small group assistance, support personal care where needed, and contribute to behaviour management and independent living skills, including activities during visits and in-class sessions.

  • Students are grouped according to learning needs to ensure the most appropriate teaching approach, while always considering age and social development.

Job description

We are a specialist Special Educational Needs provision supporting young people aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). We work collaboratively within a network committed to exceeding the holistic needs of every learner. Our dedicated and compassionate staff team is at the heart of everything we do. Together, we prepare students for life beyond education, empowering them to develop independence, confidence and skills for adulthood.

As a Student Support Assistant, you will:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
