Job summary

Telford College is seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to provide focused support to a caseload of students. You will work with academic tutors to monitor progress, identify barriers, and offer timely guidance to help learners achieve goals and complete courses with a positive learning journey.

Role requires one-to-one mentoring, safeguarding awareness, and collaboration with Student Services. A commitment to equality of opportunity and continued professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in guiding learner progression and supporting academic goals.
• Ability to establish initial caseload and maintain records.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding and curriculum development training.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload to ensure progression and completion of studies.
• Provide information, advice and guidance to support learner progression across levels.
• Establish initial caseload at start of academic year including special cohorts.
• Engage with students one-to-one to support target achievement from reviews or interventions.
• Develop professional relationships with students and staff; attend course team meetings.
• Collaborate with Student Services and colleagues to enhance curriculum and learning programmes.
• Attend CPD sessions to support professional development and knowledge.
