Job summary

Telford College is seeking a Progress Coach to deliver dedicated coaching for a designated caseload and to work with academic tutors to support learning journeys and successful course completion.

You will monitor progress, engage students individually, build strong relationships across the College, and contribute to curriculum development and progression to further study and employment. This is a term-time, 39-week, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Certificate in Advice and Guidance or commit to achieving one.
• Hold Level 2 Mental Health qualification for CYPM or commit to achieving it.
• Hold Level 2 Understanding Autism qualification or commit to achieving it.
• Level 2 Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) or be willing to attain with College support.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of students to ensure progression and completion.
• Provide information, advice and guidance to support learner progression across levels.
• Establish initial caseload at start of each academic year for induction.
• One-to-one engagement to help achieve targets set in reviews or interventions.
• Develop professional relationships with students and teaching staff; attend course team meetings.
• Collaborate with Student Services to maximise student success.
• Work with colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance curriculum and progression programmes.
• Attend CPD sessions to support professional development and knowledge.
• Develop strong knowledge of the curriculum area.
