Job summary

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an education support assistant to help students with learning needs in group or classroom settings. You will contribute to an inclusive learning environment and support students' academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development.

You will implement Personalised Learning Plans, provide behaviour support, liaise with teaching staff, and help maintain a positive school culture while adhering to Child Safe Policy

Qualifications

• Assist students with learning needs individually or in groups.
• Provide individualised behaviour support to students with specific needs.
• Support students academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
• Liaise regularly with teaching staff regarding student learning needs.
• Implement Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
• Support a positive learning environment.
• Comply with Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and child safety procedures.
• Attend to needs of students with disability, CALD backgrounds, those without home accommodation, international students and LGBTIQ+ students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with learning needs, either individually or in groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provide behaviour support to students with specific behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor and support student progress.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of PLPs.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
