Main area: Student Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nursing) Grade Band 5. Contract: 12 months (Fixed Term). Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours/week. Job ref: 448-CCYP-7104098-A.

Employer: Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. Location: Cambridgeshire, St Ives. Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, pro-rata. Closing date: 13/05/2025 23:59. Interview date: 10/06/2025.

About the Role

Join us as a School Nurse and work closely with children, young people, and their families to improve health and wellbeing. This role involves developing skills through the PGDip SCPHN (School Nurse) course starting January 2026, in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University. Successful completion offers a post within our Healthy Child Programme Services.

Main Duties

• Participate in educational sessions and achieve course objectives.
• Develop skills and integrate theory with practice.
• Collaborate with practice assessors and supervisors to support learning.
• Address health inequalities and promote health across diverse communities.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs for children and families.
• Engage in safeguarding and multi-agency working.
• Maintain professional standards and records in line with NMC and Trust policies.

Person Specification

• Current NMC registration as a Nurse.
• Experience working with children, families, and multi-agency partnerships.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health promotion, and legislation.
• Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
