Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Postpartum Mother-Baby Unit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse who demonstrates compassion and patience in providing special care to new Moms and Infants.
The Mother-Baby Unit is a 30-bed facility where nurses assess, ensure proper healing, and provide self-care education to new Moms during their postpartum stay. The unit encourages rooming-in with the newborn. Nurses are responsible for assessing, cleaning, feeding, swaddling the newborn, and educating the new Mom on infant care.
Rotating shifts, 36 hours per week, with every 3rd weekend worked.
