Job summary

Abingdon and Witney College is seeking an experienced and motivated Student Services Office Manager to support the Student Services department and drive its continued success. You will lead with the Head of Department, building strong relationships across the college and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You will oversee bursary and financial support processes, champion efficient policies, and foster staff wellbeing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in business/administration or equivalent.
  • Level 2+ literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents, and employers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Windows 10, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in a busy team environment.
  • Ability to support staff wellbeing proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee student financial support systems, ensuring bursary and financial assistance processes are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on student support and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and colleagues across the college to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships and deliver excellent service.
  • Champion efficient and effective ways of working, ensuring policies, procedures, and service standards consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and responsive student services operation.

Job description

Salary: £33,827 - £36,853 per annum

Hours per week: 37

Weeks per Annum: 52

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day

Location: Abingdon Campus

Contract type: Permanent

Essential Experience:
