Job summary

Peterborough College invites applications for a Student Recruitment & IAG Officer to support prospective and current students from enquiry through enrolment and beyond. You will deliver impartial information, advice and guidance, helping applicants find the right courses, access support and feel confident about their future.

This is a busy, people-focused role requiring clear communication and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative and customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.
• Ability to provide supportive, non-judgemental advice and guidance.
• Confidence working independently, using initiative and contributing positively to a team.
• The ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and helping every student feel welcome and supported.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities, open events, school visits, exhibitions and other events that showcase our college and courses.
• Provide impartial information to help prospective and current students choose courses that match their interests, skills and aspirations.
• Coordinate application activities, interviews, onboarding and enrolment, ensuring applicants receive timely support throughout the process.
• Guide students through bursaries, financial support, transport arrangements and other services, working with specialist teams where needed.
• Respond to enquiries, resolve queries and provide a welcoming, supportive experience for students and their families.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor application and enrolment information, and help identify opportunities to improve recruitment outcomes.
