Job summary

Queen Alexandra College (QAC) in Harborne, Birmingham, is seeking a Progress Coach to support a caseload of learners. This full-time post (32.5 hours/week, 39 weeks, term-time) focuses on monitoring progress, ensuring British Values and safeguarding while helping students achieve their potential.

You will work with the Learner Journey Team, maintain records in the MIS, and liaise with staff, parents and external partners to coordinate plans and transitions.

Qualifications

• Level 2 numeracy and literacy demonstrated or assessed at level 2 in both subjects.
• Qualification equivalent to Level 3 with willingness to work towards Level 4.
• Experience working with young people with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for up to 30 students to monitor progress.
• Follow a fortnightly meeting schedule to discuss progress, attendance and goals.
• Lead collaboration with internal/external networks (staff, parents, external agencies).
• Coordinate planning and review of learner progress and safeguarding with the Learner Journey Team.
• Record progress and outcomes using the College MIS system; monitor attendance.
