Job summary

Aspire People are seeking Student Teachers who are currently studying to gain practical experience in primary schools with flexible hours around their studies.

You will support experienced teachers, work 1:1 and in small groups, assist with reading, phonics, maths and English, and help maintain positive classroom routines across different year groups.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a teaching, education, childhood or related qualification.
• Looking to gain practical experience alongside studies.
• Interested in developing a future career in education.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.

Aspire People are looking to support Student Teachers who are currently studying and want to gain additional practical experience within primary schools alongside their studies.

The Role:

• Supporting teachers within the classroom
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Helping with reading, phonics, Maths and English activities
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Working with pupils during lessons and less structured parts of the day
• Gaining experience across different year groups and school environments
• Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• Currently studying towards a teaching, education, childhood or related qualification
• Looking to gain practical experience alongside their studies
• Passionate about working with children
• Patient, enthusiastic and approachable
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable and professional
• Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
• Interested in developing a future career within education
