Job summary

University of Brighton is seeking a proactive Student Operations and Support officer to help students turn learning into practice. You will work across campuses, provide expert guidance on placements, and support employability outcomes through 1-1 advice, group workshops, and liaison with employers.

The role is fixed-term until August 2027, full-time, with hybrid working and on-campus presence during term-time to support student-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Understanding of student placements in the Higher Education sector.
• Experience working with students in an education environment.
• Experience delivering workshops.
• Excellent organisation, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Good administration skills, with ability to use MS Office and databases to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 guidance to students to secure placements.
• Deliver skills workshops and employability events.
• Engage with local, national and international employers and organisations.
• Attend Careers Fairs and other employability events.
• Administer and monitor student placement activity.
