Job Description

We are looking to recruit an undergraduate student to undertake a Year in Industry placement within the Chemical Engineering Department of our major chemicals manufacturing site at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The 12-month placement will commence in Summer 2025.

The successful candidate(s) will support chemical manufacturing activities, working alongside operations and project personnel. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in chemical production activities across the site within an experienced, supportive, and innovative environment.

The work will utilize and develop your practical skills and knowledge gained from your university studies. Responsibilities will include technical troubleshooting of plant issues, monitoring plant trials, assisting with existing and new projects, and updating support documentation such as operating instructions and plant engineering line drawings.

Applicants should be studying for a Chemical Engineering Degree and be on course for either a 1st class or upper second class honours.

Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
