Job Description:

We are seeking an undergraduate student for a Year in Industry placement within the Chemical Engineering Department at our major chemicals manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The 12-month placement begins in Summer 2025.

The successful candidate will support chemical manufacturing activities alongside operations and project teams. This role offers valuable experience in chemical production, technical troubleshooting, plant trials monitoring, project assistance, and updating operational documentation.

Applicants should be studying for a Chemical Engineering Degree with a projected 1st or upper second class honours.

Essential skills include good communication, the ability to work independently and in teams, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. Candidates should be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of using their initiative. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required for report writing and presentations.
