Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Student Marketing and Recruitment Assistant to join the Faculty of Humanities team. You will support campaigns that engage prospective students, manage CRM activities, and help organise on-campus events.

You will work with a collaborative, inclusive team and develop professional knowledge in higher education administration, gaining experience across communications, events and student outreach.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading experience.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of major social media channels.
• Good organisational skills, and able to prioritise work.
• Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment and support colleagues.
• Desirable: experience communicating with a student audience.
• Desirable: interest in photography and/or video production and/or basic design software.
• Desirable: interest in e-marketing and some technical awareness e.g. basic HTML.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Student Marketing and Recruitment projects and campaigns.
• Assist with clerical and administration tasks, including ambassador timesheets.
• Support CRM activities for prospective students, including data uploading, cleaning and de-duplication, and templating content.
• Assist production and distribution of communications for prospective students and staff, proofreading copy.
• Help with planning and on-campus events such as open days and school/college visits.
