Job summary

Fulcrum Infrastructure Management (FIM) is seeking a proactive Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day management of the College Lane student residences in Hatfield, overseeing subcontracted FM partners and ensuring compliant, high-quality service delivery.

The role focuses on PPP/PFI contracts, asset governance and lifecycle planning, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement with the University and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in operations, contracts or head of services in PPP/PFI or complex estates environments.
• Solid facilities management background with managing outsourced FM partners and compliance.
• Experience in asset management, lifecycle planning, PPMs, defect resolution and improvement projects.
• Strong stakeholder management with universities, FM providers and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of the College Lane residences.
• Manage service delivery through subcontracted FM partners and monitor performance.
• Interpret PPP/PFI requirements and support asset governance and compliance.
• Oversee lifecycle planning, planned maintenance, defects and improvement projects.
• Prepare reports and support board and stakeholder meetings.
