Job summary

Homes for Students is recruiting a Maintenance Operative at The Croft in Derby, 30 hours per week, 11:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance and ensure statutory compliance is maintained at all times.

The role requires experience in property maintenance or a qualified trade, knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance experience or a trade qualification.
• Knowledge of COSHH, manual handling, and working at height.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, with good problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance tasks and reactive repairs.
• Ensure statutory compliance is maintained at all times.
• Liaise with suppliers and external contractors.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience in relation to faults and property condition.
