Job summary

MCR Property Group seeks a Maintenance Manager in Bradford to lead the on-site maintenance team for student accommodation. You will oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and compliance across buildings, ensuring safe, well-maintained environments for residents.

You will manage a team including plumbers and electricians, coordinate contractors, and drive cost-efficient upkeep while maintaining high service standards and a focus on resident experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance manager or supervisor within property sectors.
• Strong knowledge of heating, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and coordinating contractors.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers and outside contractors.
• Familiarity with CMMS and standard IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and allocate work while maintaining high safety standards.
• Manage reactive and planned maintenance across living spaces and communal areas.
• Plan and deliver preventative maintenance to extend asset life.
• Ensure fire, gas, electrical tests and other statutory inspections are up to date.
• Coordinate external contractors for specialised repairs and refurbishments.
• Control costs by monitoring the maintenance budget and spend.
