Job summary

Weston College in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a proactive Student Funding Co-ordinator to help learners access financial support through bursaries and financial aids, ensuring they have personalised help to succeed. This is a full-time role within our Student Support team, based at Knightstone Campus with travel between sites to reach all learners.

You will provide a responsive, learner-facing service for personal, financial and practical advice; manage administration of student support funds;

Qualifications

• Experience of computerised financial accounts.
• Proven team working and networking with colleagues across teams.
• Proven experience of collecting and analysing data and recommending improvements.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Resilience and emotional intelligence supporting vulnerable learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide a responsive, learner-facing service to FE learners on financial and practical support.
• Administer student support funds to minimise barriers for vulnerable learners.
• Assess applications, maintain records, produce detailed reports and provide timely advice.
• Lead communication campaigns promoting financial wellbeing resources.
